Calibration of pH Meter

1.0      Purpose:  To ensure smooth running of PH meter with desired accuracy. 2.0   Scope    :   This SOP applies to the calibration of PH meter. 3.0   Definitions:  Nil 4.0      Responsibility:  QC officer. 5.0   Procedures    : 5.1          Place buffer 4.0 or 7.0 in the vessel & press CAL / MEANS after switching on the Machine. 5.2          Press CON button & enter the value selected for Calibration & record the reading. 5.3          The electrode of PH meter is immersed in the buffer solution of PH 4.0 & adjusting The meter to the appropriate PH value. Ref. BP-93  APPENDIX VM (Table-2) How to use the PH meter: 1)      Press the button CAL / MEANS 2)      Select the next higher PH buffer setting in the PH calibration mode. 3)      Select the next lower PH buffer setting in the PH calibration mode. 4)      Press CON button & enter the value selected for calibration.

Operation of Powder Filling Machine

1.0    PURPOSE: Ensuring the operation of Powder filling machine in a proper way. 2.0    SCOPE: This SOP applies for the proper use of Powder filling machine. 3.0   DEFINITION:   Nil. 4.0   RESPONSIBILITY:   Engineering Incharge,  Machine operator. 5.0   PROCEDURE:            5.1   Set the turntable guide as per the require bottle size for filling.            5.2   Set the conveyer guide as per the bottle size.            5.3   Place the separation as per the bottle size.            5.4   Set the height of the filling head as per the bottle size i.e the gap should be                    4 mm to 5 mm between bottle & Nipple.            5.5   Check the humidity of the room it should must be 30 to 35.            5.6   Start the main rotary switch.            5.7   Keep the dose switch off & press the START switch to run the machine.            5.8   Run the empty bottles on the conveyor to check the smooth transportation of                    The bottle from start to end of the conveyor.            5.9   Fill the powder into the hopper.            5.10 Set the time of the timer to fill the require dose into the bottle.            5.11 MOVE the ROD FOR POWDER FLOW ADJUSTMENT part no. 7.5 to fill                    The powder into the glass jar. The level of the powder should must be at                    Middle of the glass jar. Always maintain the level of the powder to reduce the                   Weight variation.            5.12 on the dose switch to fill the powder into the bottle.            5.13 Checks the weight of fill the powder into the bottle.            5.14 A metal proxy is provided to start augur when the bottle stops at the separator

5.15    The machine stops by pressing stop key. 5.16    LIMIT SWITCH FOR CLUTCH stops the machine when any bottles dose not Insert into the separator properly.

Operation of Liquid Filling Machine

1.0      PURPOSE: Ensuring the operation of liquid filling machine in a proper way. 2.0      SCOPE: This SOP applies for the proper use of liquid filling machine. 3.0   DEFINITION:   Nil. 4.0   RESPONSIBILITY:   Engineering Incharge,  Machine operator. 5.0   PROCEDURE:              5.1   Clean the machine first with dry clean-cloth.              5.2   Connect electricity to the machine. 5.3   Introduce the entry pipe of the machine into Specified MEDICINE VAT. 5.4   Switch ON the machine. 5.5   Set filled volume into the machine. 5.6   Fill the bottle & transfer them into next stage. 5.7   After completion of filling, Wash & clean the machine with distilled water         Properly & switch off the machine. 5.8    Swap the machine with clean dry-cloth & disconnect the PLUG from the Socket.

Operation of Cap Sealing Machine

1.0      PURPOSE: Ensuring the operation of cap sealing machine in a proper way. 2.0      SCOPE: This SOP applies for the proper use of cap sealing machine. 3.0      DEFINITION:  Nil 4.0   RESPONSIBILITY:    Engineering Incharge,  Machine operator. 5.0   PROCEDURE:              5.1   Clean the machine first with dry clean-cloth.              5.2   Connect electricity to the machine.              5.3   Set the machine with define measurement of caps & bottles.              5.4   After proper setting the machine, seal the bottles properly.              5.5   After completion of sealing, switch OFF the machine & clean the machine                      Properly with dry cloth. 5.6      Disconnect the PLUG from the socket & stop the machine.
