Operation of Powder Filling Machine


1.0    PURPOSE:
Ensuring the operation of Powder filling machine in a proper way.

2.0    SCOPE:
This SOP applies for the proper use of Powder filling machine.

3.0   DEFINITION:   Nil.

4.0   RESPONSIBILITY:   Engineering Incharge,  Machine operator.

5.0   PROCEDURE:
           5.1   Set the turntable guide as per the require bottle size for filling.
           5.2   Set the conveyer guide as per the bottle size.
           5.3   Place the separation as per the bottle size.
           5.4   Set the height of the filling head as per the bottle size i.e the gap should be
                   4 mm to 5 mm between bottle & Nipple.
           5.5   Check the humidity of the room it should must be 30 to 35.
           5.6   Start the main rotary switch.
           5.7   Keep the dose switch off & press the START switch to run the machine.
           5.8   Run the empty bottles on the conveyor to check the smooth transportation of
                   The bottle from start to end of the conveyor.
           5.9   Fill the powder into the hopper.
           5.10 Set the time of the timer to fill the require dose into the bottle.
           5.11 MOVE the ROD FOR POWDER FLOW ADJUSTMENT part no. 7.5 to fill
                   The powder into the glass jar. The level of the powder should must be at
                   Middle of the glass jar. Always maintain the level of the powder to reduce the
                  Weight variation.
           5.12 on the dose switch to fill the powder into the bottle.
           5.13 Checks the weight of fill the powder into the bottle.
           5.14 A metal proxy is provided to start augur when the bottle stops at the separator





                      

5.15    The machine stops by pressing stop key.
5.16    LIMIT SWITCH FOR CLUTCH stops the machine when any bottles dose not
Insert into the separator properly.
